Digital Speed Painting : Sunny Day

Here's a new post! This painting is of the main female protagonist of an upcoming bittersweet and nonsensical romantic-comedy, "She Was Sunny". Took 5 1/2 hours in Paint Tool Sai.

Sunny Albright is the absent-minded, eccentric, cane-wielding and happy-go-lucky neighbor and childhood friend of Cooper Day who moved away when she was in fifth grade. She alternates living in her station wagon and a former storage room (90 square feet) across the hall from Cooper with a view of Central Park that is no longer in use after she saved the landlord’s daughter from a car crash, causing her to permanently damage her legs, explaining her required cane for movement and penguin-like gait. She officially works as a zookeeper in Central Park Zoo. She never knew her parents and went through the foster system until she was eighteen where she went off on her own. She is reunited with Cooper after fifteen years when Cooper was released on parole from past dealings with the mob. Later he meets her again when he moves into his new apartment where she falls through the ceiling at an attempt to map the apartment’s mice highways. Seeing the state of which she lives, and on order from his parole officer, he is forced to tag along on Sunny’s misadventures and curious bouts of wanderlust. She is also seen working a variety of odd jobs including, but not limited to a plumber, mailman, handyman, pizza delivery, cashier, janitor, auxiliary police officer, and hot dog vendor. This is later revealed that she works herself to near exhaustion and serious health issues in order to help, singlehandedly fund an after school center. When she's not working, she paints murals with the local children. She has a strange obsession with Rolly pollies and often talks to pigeons whom she considers her closest friends because they don’t judge. However, Cooper suspects she is hiding something from him with that wide and toothy grin. She is often seen wearing a white Tee, a very old pair of overalls rolled up to her knees, black sneakers with animal sneakers, a propellor hat resembling a yellow duck, and work gloves.
